In a previous post we saw how food can carry the vibrational energy that was around during its making. A loving cook would make a dish full of good energy, whereas an upset cook would make his meal toxic.

In India, at the end of every spiritual event, food that has been blessed is shared and consumed by the participants, this food is called Prasad.

Everybody has the ability to give a blessing, you can bless your food and change it to Prasad.

Would you like to make your Valentine treat divine? Here is the trick:

Prepare your food the yogic way by chanting and sending positive energy. Think how much you love the person you are preparing food for. Then when the food is ready, put both your hands about 4 inches above the plate, close your eyes and bless it, sending Love to your food. Then serve it. The Love will go to your loved one through the meal.

You can try this trick with this Prasad recipe.

Chocolate Truffles Prasad:

2 1/4 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup chopped nuts, almonds or dried coconut

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

4 tbsp margarine or butter

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 to 2 tsp soy milk

powder cocoa for coating

Combine all ingredients together except for the soy milk while chanting your favorite mantra.

Slowly add the milk, the mixture should be sticky and not runny.

Chill until firm, then form the mixture into small balls and coat with powder chocolate while visualizing the person you're making this treat for.

Then place both your hands about 4 inches above the plate, close your eyes and bless the truffles, sending Love, visualize Love energy going from your hands into the treat.

Keep refrigerated until ready to serve.
